Hi all,
I've got Standalone working across the network, but am having issues with Maya.
I've updated to the latest version, but am getting 'Unavailable' and if I close the window and try again I get 'Invalid version'.
This link is for the issues I initially had with Standalone.

Network Rendering

Yes, you will need to take a look at the plugin version number when you upgrade.prodviz wrote:Sweet, all working FooZe, cheers.
So I guess I just need to watch out for which render engine is supported in upcoming Maya plugins and update the Standalone accordingly?
I'm not sure you need all energy savers off, but certainly you don't want the computer going to sleep.prodviz wrote:On slave machine, should all energy savers, screen savers etc. be disabled?
I also wonder whether an 'idiots guide' sort of doc should be put together for network rendering?
Even if just for me
There is information about network rendering here: http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Standalo ... ge_id=1248 in the manual.
When this happens, check the slave console window to see what it says.prodviz wrote:Just had the slave GPU's drop off and the render settings show 'slaves failed'.
Unchecking and rechecking network rendering has them up again.
Are there any tips for avoiding this?
Thanks
Chris.
