Make it so the windows can be detachable so we can set the controls on the second monitor, and have a full screen on one, since when I want to check it I have to squeeze all the windows around to see what is going on, and that's on a 24" monitor, that would speed up the workflow.. how many people use multiple monitor setups anyway

Yep +1
I suggested this as well a while ago.
I use a 24" as the main and 17" as a secondary Info Screen.

+1 here too - I would love to be able to have one of my 24's be used for preview and the other for controls, and then the TV hooked up to it for hulu or netflix or something else

CPU - i7-950 3.06 Ghz, 24GB Ram, Win7 x64, 2 display monitors, GeForce GTX 580 3GB Classified. I'm glad to say I LOVE OCTANE!
I'm not against this feature, but I have two 4/3 monitors, and I can enlarge the window to the two screens with no problem. I get the node manager on the right screen. I have rendered images in 3000x2000.
I don't really see where is the problem, as unused windows can be reduced and it is easy to zoom in the image if necessary.
