I'm sure I must be missing something. If I'm doing a large render, say 6000x6000 I can pan around the render to see different parts of the image by holding ctrl and left-click dragging. It's not very easy to compose the image this way though.
Is there any way to 'zoom out' the render view like you would in Gimp etc to see the whole image at one go? I've searched on the forums and tried different key+drag combos but I can't find a way to do this.
Is it possible to zoom the render window?

I think that the default for image zoom is Ctrl+mouse wheel. Check your account preferences settings (defaults & controls)
