So I have found that I can load more than one Mesh (.OBJ) into the Render engine and can switch back and forth between them. Is it possible to render two .OBJ files at the same time? the reason I ask is that I have set up several scenes with Multiple meshes and found that I can import any of them separately and render just fine. But if I try to make a BIG scene with all of them it invariably crashes when loading the .OBJ. (Voxelizing stage) I know I am not over loading my Video Card. (Like I said, I can import them all individually) I have tried selecting multiple Meshes after I get them imported in, but that just manages to switch back and forth between them. I have also tried connecting the Meshes to each other and to various modules in the Graph Editor to no avail.

If it were as easy as all that then i wouldn't be asking the question here. hehe :D

it is when I have them merged that Octane crashes.

btw, I have even tried opening the merged scene (mega size .OBJ) in different 3D applications and then re-saving it as a different .OBJ file, but the results are the same.

continuous delete stuff from the obj untill it works, then you can close in on the issue.

I realize your just trying to help. But take into consideration I have well over 10 years experience with 3D modeling. I have tried everything such experience can muster to no avail. (I have had allot of success with Octane!) And I am not the only person with the issue by far. The specific question being asked here is the possibility of rendering multiple separate meshes concurrently within Octane. Not a newb trying to figure out how to get Octane to work. :D

thanks though.

Hi wikkidwidgets,

this is a limitation of the demo version.
It's currently not possible with the demo's you're using.

it's available in the commercial beta version.
but we might add this feature in future demo versions though.

for now, you'll have to merge them in your 3d app and export to one OBJ file.

just a bit of patience...
you'll soon be able to buy a beta with load/save enabled too.
