Hi there,

I would like to render my C4D camera-animations in the standalone,
mostly because it renders faster.

Exporting to OCS works great and opens nicely in the standalone.
Exporting the camera animation through an alembic file works,
but when I combine the camera and the scene in the standalone,
the scaling goes wrong and I can't seem to fix it.

Anyone knows the right workflow ?

thanks,
Jan

how can be faster? Both has nearly same speed. How are you rendering your camera animations in C4D?

hi,
if your scene in cm inside c4d, you need to specify a different scale of obj and abc.; meters for obj and centimeters for abc
the latest versions of Octane Standalone give you the ability to specify different setting for different type of geometries ;)

aoktar,

Sorry,
after checking every option, it seems that there is no speed-difference.
By using the "Kernel Overwrite Setting" the "Alpha Shadows" got enabled in C4D,
and not in the Standalone, giving a huge increase in rendertime.
Took a while to find it, but all renders are fine now. Thanks.

Bepef4d,
going to check your solution right away,
will be usefull to set up a standalone render machine!
