Hi,
I have been having troubles with an item that is appearing in all of my exports (particularly when I loop through the Object Manager in COFFEE/Python). It's called 'myOctaneSettings.' I exported my scene to Alembic and re-imported it to show what I mean. I have searched the forums and saw that it is removable, but is there a way to only add it when the scene is using Octane? Thank you.

it's a storage object. It's mentioned several times. You can't disable it currently. What's your trouble with this null object?

Thank you for the response. I did search the forums and saw the other posts about this. The trouble with it is, in scripting, if you want to loop through the Object Manager with code or step to the next item (for example selecting the original object after a Split command), it will show up unexpectedly in the Object Manager, which causes the need for more code to determine object type. I understand its purpose in scenes using Octane, but I think it is inconvenient to include in every Cinema 4D scene (even those without Octane) and when exporting a scene to another format (as with Alembic). It always must be deleted. Thanks!
ok understand. I have to revise some parts to do as you wished. Due complexity, this can causes some unexpected behaviours. Not so easy to change some very basic stuff. Noted...
