Now we can mix color from one color to another color using two colornodes.
Would it not be possible to make a mix of all (RGB) colors
when we would have three colornodes that mix instead of two?
Random color node with 3 instead of 2 colors?

(OK, I'll start a monologue then
Maybe the question should be different)
Right now we can mix from one color to another.
In scattering I can solve it by using 3 scatternodes each with 1 of 3 from the colorspectrum,
But just having to use one scatterobject with a colormix of all rgb colors would be nice.
In Octane future...Will we be able to make a mix of all RGB colors?
I was thinking that would be easy just by mixing 3 colornodes instead of two colornodes,
But in coding it is probably not that easy?
Anyone has knowledge or ideas about this?

Would be nice if the random color node could just sample from a color gradient (like Maya does).
Currently you can get more than a 2-color variation by using the random color node to mix between two mix textures that have their own random colors. I use the MODO plugin, but this sample from the manual applies to the Standalone as well:

(About halfway down the page).

Aha! So it is possible....riggles wrote:Would be nice if the random color node could just sample from a color gradient (like Maya does).

Riggles, Thanx to show this
