OctaneRender for Poser integration with HDR Light Studio

Below is a video showing the OctaneRender for Poser integration with HDR Light Studio.



The initial implementation will be in the next release of the Poser plugin (for Octane 2.05.1). The HDR Light Studio options in the plugin will only be available if you have HDR Light Studio installed. Initially you will need a license for HDR Light Studio, however Lightmap may consider releasing a Poser plugin only version of HDR Light Studio, which may be at a lower price, but it will be a few weeks before any info on this will be available. The plugin will also work with the demo version of HDR Light Studio (however you cannot render high quality HDR images or save the HDR Light Studio project).

Update 15-Aug-2014 : A Poser-only version of HDR Light Studio is not on the cards at the moment, so in the meantime, Lightmap are offering a 30% discount on HDR Light Studio – Complete to OctaneRender for Poser users. If you would like to take up this offer, pls PM me and I will send you the discount coupon. This offer finishes at the end of Sep 2014.

Been creating a lot of hdris with that and have since yearned for a decent implementation inside OR for Poser.

If beta, is there still a chance to get a chance at testing it before it will be released?

Hi Noel

You will be able to use this in the next release of the plugin (available in the next day or two). You can use it with the demo version of HDR Light Studio to get a feel for the workflow.

Yes. Once the Poser version integration is proved robust, Rhino will be next.

I'm not sure - sorry. My best guess is it will requirement v4.something. I'm using v4.3. I assume if you own v4.0 onwards, you can upgrade to 4.3. But unsure on the upgrade policy for v3 or prior.

Unfortunately, unless I read something wrong, at $500+, I'm gonna have to see if any discounts will be offered. Would absolutely LOVE to have it tho!!!
