My first Octane animation is a re-render of one of my first animations.
Sci Fi Funk Episode 1.

Improvements over version 1 (my 2nd animation made in 2010 when I was learning how to animate and lighting was not learned at that time).
1. OCTANE Render vs DAZ native renderer.
2. Realistic lighting
3. DOF.
4. 1920x1080 from 1280x720
5. Animated intro. Titles improved.
6. Animated outro. Talking titles.
7. Slow sections Cut faster.
8. Camera sweep ratio reduced.
9. Hologram Girl more dramatic.
I’ve kept most of the original animation (no time to change this I over ran by 2 months as it is it should have been a 1 month project).
For the comparison here is the original episode 1 (rendered in DAZ before I understood about lighting).

The latest episode in the series (for animation comparison) is ep 9, (a Carrara render).

Your lighting has improved with Octane! (I found the video on your YouTube channel) You sure are putting in a lot of effort on this. I was impressed with the lip sync. What did you use?

Thanks Kevin.
At that time I was using mimic pro (standalone version) for DAZ 3D. I now use Mimic Pro (plug in) for Carrara. However if I may be so bold I've added to this by making ADSR blocks (attack, decay, sustain, release) to increase the facial control.
Video tutorial here.

I've made other videos on the subject too on the sci fi funk channel.

Oh man. I posted the wrong link. Edited the original and here is the OCTANE link.
It was a late night last night - lol.

Yep, that's why I went to your YouTube Channel to find it! Thanks for the Mimic Pro tips, I've never seen it look that well done before. Good job!
