Update plugin for Cinema 4d, need Standalone?

Hello. when I returned from vacation, I learned the release Octane 2.0 This is great news. But I have a question, if I update only plugin for CINEMA 4D will it work? Or do I need to update and Standalone version? Thanks!

On the licensing side, you have to buy the upgrade of the standalone too.
On the technical side, you don't have to install standalone for working with the plugin version.
