Hello!

I am having a problem with specular material shadows behaving as if the object is solid. As you can see in the attachment, both fake shadows and alpha shadows are enabled. The problem persists in all kernels. Is this a limitation in the demo, a bug, or am I just missing something?

Specular materials shadows render correctly in standalone demo.

Both alpha shadows and fake shadows are enabled. I tried the same setup with new CUDA drivers at my home computer but the problem appears across all kernels. The shadows are only affected by the opacity of the object, not the transparency/transmission. Shadows are cast as from a solid object. This is not a problem in standalone, only in C4D.

Hi again,

I have attached the rendered results. I have not altered any render or material settings. As you can see the shadows are still off. Maybe it's a bug in the demo version?
