Im looking to build a GPU based render farm using Cubix boxes and multiple titans. Are there any real issues with using the Cubix box to render from?
Also would using a few of these set ups over a network work effectively?
And how does octane deal with rendering over multiple GPU's, will it use them all together to render one frame or is there a way to set each GPU to render a frame each?

We don't officially support cubix boxes so we can't guarantee that they will work.
Having said that, I don't see why they wouldn't, this is what they are designed to do.
So long as octane can see the GPU's as CUDA devices then it should be able to use them.
With the 2.0 network rendering feature, all GPU's work on rendering the same scene/frame.
I think some host applications can chop up your animation into chunks and spread it to slaves but this is a different story and not the 2.0 network rendering feature.
The network rendering feature can let you use GPU's on remote machines that are running octane slave's (upto 12 GPU's total including local ones) .
The master will use these GPU's to render the scene that it's got loaded. It works (in principal) similar to just adding local GPU's but these are on other machines. (Obviously technically it's completely different but this was the design intention of it).
