Hello!
Last week I bought Octane 2 and am really impressed by its speed and quality; I did not imagine that an unbiased renderer could be so fast!
I'm totally happy except for one thing, while I use Octane, I can't access internet; I can't even access LiveDB inside Max. The strange thing is that for a day or two, it seemed that the problem resolved itself, but today it returned  ...
What could be the problem (I use Max 2014, and obviously Octane 2) ? Thanks!

Don't you have internet access at all while using octane?

Nope, even from the browser :(
I don't think Octane disables my connection (will verify this evening); sure thing is that I can't access any web page until I exit Max...

I tried Octane standalone and the result is the same: no internet connection; I noticed that when I open Octane (either in Max or the standalone), the connection works for the first 30/40 seconds (I can access LiveDB too), after which the connection goes down until I close the program... What could be the cause? It's driving me insane :x

Just as a test: Could you launch the standalone and disable network rendering (in the preferences). Does the internet still go down? If yes, what does the OctaneLive status (in the lower right corner of the window) say?

Abstrax it now works, you are great!
I already disabled network rendering of the Max plugin some day ago without success, so it didn't come to my mind to disable it in the standalone version too...
Thank you again!

So when network rendering is enabled, your internet connection breaks down? Does it also happen in version 2.01?

I just installed v2.01 (I had the 2.00 previously), and now it works even with network rendering enabled.
I'm not sure if I screwed something in the first installation (like some Windows network authorization prompt that I missed). Let me know if you need some other info ;)
