Upgrading to Daz 4.6.3.52 today - and Octane just doesn't function as intended anymore
1) Select Camera to focus doesn't always work
2) Upon starting octane with figure no materials are carried over
3) NGE material selector doesn't work anymore
4) Cant import and map daz textures to figure
5) Causes other plugins to crash unless Octane is disabled (Reality, Look at my Hair)
I dont want to moan like a self entitled forum poster as this plug in is a labor of love by the developer,I really hope he's not under great duress and don't want to add any pressure to his workload but we're paying users and last two updates of Daz with octane just seem to not work well at all...and Octane 2.0 has hit almost all other platforms
pretty please ? we're getting hungry here !
I really hope the devs can do their best and wish them the best of luck and godspeed
We need an update...

I've noticed that OR crawls since updating DS. Scenes that OR used to handle easily are slowing to a crawl with the view port open. Likewise, rendering takes much longer. That didn't happen in the previous version. Right now OR is not functioning well since DS was updated and needs a fix asap as this is seriously affecting my work.

i have of course noticed it. it is not that bad with the current dev version, but there are still a nbr. of things broken. currently trying to find out what daz had changed with this update. there is no much info from the change log, and from my pov they have sthg. broken in the api (probably regarding dson). note: the daz studio sdk is still v4.5.0.0114 = almost 2 yrs old and wasn't updated since then...

t_3 - If DAZ's API is not being updated, how does that affect the future release of 2.0? Do you think DS is actually dissing 3rd-party developers?

Umm maybe I'm lucky, but I updated DS to 4.6.3.52 back on the 17th and I've noticed no issues at all. I've only done 2 final renders in that time, but as I've been making my own G2F based character with custom FBM/FHM and custom skin, I've been using DS a lot, along with OcDS and GoZ.
I'm running 64bit versions, if that helps at all.

From DAZ forums today -
An updated SDK means:
1) At best, anyone using an older version of Studio can’t use the plugins compiled with the new SDK.
2) At worst, all users must get new versions of all plugins.
#1 is annoying for the people who don’t want to be on the latest version of DAZ Studio, and #2 is awful(lot of work) for plugin developers and users.
The Octane developer has been in direct contact with the DAZ development team. Nothing directly communicated thus far has lead us to believe an updated SDK is needed for Octane.
