hi,
at first: thanks a lot for your hard work and this awesome update aoktar ! i really enjoy it! :)
today i found that there is an issue with the new round edges shader. for me it works more or less only with very simple geometry. i tested a couple of objs exported with MOI and have always results like that:
octane.jpg
in vray the round egdes shader looks as expected:
vray.jpg
is there something i am doing wrong? i played with the object-scale and the rayeplison-value without success.here is the projectfile:

thanks in advance! :)

My results are the same (in standalone and Modo)

Either the rounded edge shader is broken or it's just really crappy.

Not much use to me at the moment and not at all the the time saver that Modo's equivalent feature is.

My number one use for a shader like this is for microbeveling CAD data but it seems to mess up the normals and imported CAD data is very dependent on the vertex normals to look good.

I can report the same thing. It works great on a cube but I don't need it to work great on a cube. It needs to work on imported CAD data for it to be useful to me. Pretty disappointed with this. Hoping for something much more useful. Can the dev's comment on this? It's just not there yet. It's got to work at least as well as the Vray version.

Thanks

Confirmed. At first I just thought it was a bit rubbish; now it looks totally broken.
