I'm trying to make a realistic eye, I remember the thread Elboko opened about his eye test, and it was pretty good, so here's my attempt.
I modeled the iris in zBush, and all the textures are hand-painted. It took me about 5 hours of work.
Comments and critics are welcome!

Thank you guys, here's an update. I've added the caruncula and the tearline. The skin around the eye needs more work, and I have to add the facial hair. The eyelashes also are not final.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

And what does the CG eye look like? :)

Seriously, looks great. Makes me what to do the same :)

How complex is your model in terms of the different Specular materials. I'm assuming you have the Sclera, the lens and the vitreous humor. But do you have more than that. Also, is your iris a displacement map (V2)? And is the body of the eye (choroid?) also made with a specular material or glossy? and are you using a medium node also?

Sorry for all the questions :)

That works remarkably well. Your work is always so clean, tidy and polished and you make it look so easy. I wish I had that ease of work.
