Zdepth workflow

Hi, Im trying to find the best use for the zdetph in photoshop. By default, the render from octane with camera defocus is great but very hard to use in photoshop when selecting ids for color correction.
So I rendered a Zdetph, but cannot get the same quality as in octane. Also tryed in nuke with the lenscare plugin but quality still low.

How is your workflow? Can I have the same quality as octane in post?

(btw I mean in still frames)

May not be much use to you but I do most of my still work in after effects and I use lens care from frischluft for any post DOF stuff.

They also do a photoshop plug that may be of use to you.
