So I'm going for a kind of california patio type garden scene. I haven't put the trees into the planters yet but overall I'm happy with the direction it's going in. I need to bring out some detail in the ground tiling (no actual *tiles* yet). The proportion and scale is probably a little off. And I'm not sure what I'm missing on the red ceramic material for the planters....

Different angle with a little bit of bump mapping on the ground tiles.

One thing that seems out of place is the intensity of colors in the fabric. Really needs to be subdued or washed out a bit. Right now, almost seems like it is emitting light rather than reflecting it. Also the edge of the fabric is too perfectly straight. Needs to be somewhat wavy.

Your choice of scene scale is making everything look like little toys or scale models of real things, due to the low depth of field. I don't think there would be that much DOF blur if you scale everything up to actual size.

Thanks for the crits T.
Yes the scale is absolutely off. I just eyeballed the models and didn't build them to scale at all.

You're welcome. Keep going with it and post updates. Always great to see a project develop.
