Need help to improve materials. I model in AutoCAD Architecture, import to 3ds max, where I assign and name materials, export to Octane and this is where my trouble starts. All materials are called wire_something (5-6 digits), not what I named them in Max. I can drag materials from livedb into graph editor, but cannot assign to any oblects in the viewport. How do you pick objects that are behind glass? This model was downloaded from 3dfreemodel.com. My workflow is not great but if I can achieve results similar to others on this forum, I will be a happy man.
Thank you for any assistance you may offer.
