Hi all!
Haven't posted anything since the "Romano-Arabic Dreamhouse" (see this post) - having a break away from this project...

Here's my latest : a modern villa... The concrete "beams" supported by iron bars are inspired from one of Franck Sinatra's Houses in Twin Palms...
Postprod in Photoshop.

I'm still struggling with getting a proper photorealistic result, but little by little i'm getting closer!
(I used DirectLighting for this image, since it didn't change much using PathTracing)

Cheers guys!
;)

Forgot to ask one question...

Although I'm using a hdr image, I still can't get "sharp" shadows.
:(
How do you get sharp shadows with HDR???

Cheers!

Image based lighting usually do not produce sharp shadows. Perhaps you can make another render using the daylight environment and combine them in postwork. I have seen other using that technique somewhere in the gallery.

Thanks, I also thought of doing so, but then I'll lose the HDR reflections in the windows...
(except of course if I cut/paste the windows)

Thanks for your help!

You can use a HDR as you wish.
Then place a emitter on the sun position on the HDR.

Thanks Face, but (being a bit "afraid" of unstability) I haven't moved on to Octane's Emitters Version yet...
Maybe I should...
