This is such a noob question but haven't been able to find an answer to it (manual, search, etc)....probably right in front of my face.

So, I'm working away on a material (using the material ball) and trying some new ideas. Get to a point where I like it and I want to save the material....let's say a Mix material. In the graphic window and right click to save. I hit save and the Store items UI comes up and I save the package to my hard-drive and name it. But, when I try to bring the material in only the mix material element comes in without any of the settings or materials which were assigned to it initially.

How do I save a material to my hard drive?

TIA

Are you saving the macro?

I haven't tried this, but based on the results, it sounds like you are saving a diffuse material that has nodes attached to it instead of a macro that contains your aterial and all the pins inside.

if this is for 1.5, group them together and then save.

That seemed to work fine. I needed to ungroup twice, after import, and then the material was fine.

Tried it without grouping and that worked fine.....just selected all of the nodes at once and saved. Ungrouped once on import.
