So who wants one? :D

Looks like it's 2 or 3 slot so still only going to be able to get 4 GPUs in one workstation case

cheers

2x the power of a Titan Black, for only 3x the price. Doh.

It will fit 3 slots and 3000$, 12gb total but 6 each so octane only will use 6gb

new gtx 780 with 6gb will cost around 600$

4 x titan 6gb = 4000$
4 x gtx 780 6gb= 2400$
2 x gtx titan z 6gb= 6000$

not funny

3x the price? Where did they mention the price? I only see that stubby short article?

If this is for 3 slots - and the image shows it indeed - and costs 3k$ - this card is a joke

I dunno,
the card is obviously not purposed for the average Joe, it's a niche product. If OEMs manage to shrink it down to 2 PCIE slots on air (or even 1 PCIE slot on water)the it will be a great choice for people who actually make money with GPU computations.
Think about what one can do with two of those as oppose to 4 regular Titans or even 8 670s :)
Does NVidia charge premium for it? Most certainly. But who expected anything else anyway?

Besides- give it a year and the prices will drop at least a little.

Great find OP, thanks.

They just had a very interesting GDC presentation that this nerd watched all of ;) where they showed the price @ $2999.

Indeed it looks like it's 3 slot so it's all about the density but that's really only for an ITX build. Currently, I would not recommend this for anyone really, not gamers not GPGPUers. It's frankly a showpiece.

I bet manufacturing these things always cost them the same, its just a chip on a board.

I remember saying on an old post how the 12GB Quadro K6000 will eventually be geforce variant now that time has come. That card is going for around little under 4K'ish on ebay.

Wow, so the new 6gb 780's is their next round of Titan dumping I presume (rebranded). Oh boy this does raise what new Maxwell cards will be like hmmm...will upgrade at that dumping phase, so much new tech, and I'm still ok with my quad 580's lol.
