Lua experts, I need your help!
Similar to what Roeland did in the Texture/Material blend thread (http://goo.gl/HWwBSU) I would like to "blend" two Placement node, so I can move an object in the timeline. I also need to specify a start and an end time, just like the other script.
How can I do that?
Blend two Placement nodes?

sorry but why don't you use alembic for your animated objects?
your host app is surely the best place for preparing the animation, and now you can split the export between cameras, static and animated objects. you can easily re-export any part for corrections without closing octane.... so, do you really need this script?
ciao beppe

Fair question. But I need to animate two lights, and I can't see the result in Maya or other host applications, I need to see it in Octane.bepeg4d wrote:sorry but why don't you use alembic for your animated objects?

I am hopeless with LUA, but imho you can do the trick without LUA.
I posted recently in an other topic how an object can be parented to the camera (for fog).
I think that a similar simple node setup can work in your case. You could parent some emitting objects to some moving objects. In octane, ascendent links work, so if a transform value changes in a node, the value can be retrieved in a transform node earlier in the tree and shared by an other node.
Look at the screen shot that I provided in this thread :

I am not sure that I understood correctly your problem, but maybe with some luck this can solve it...
