from my experience a rather simple setup usually works good, like a diffuse material with diffuse/bump/opacity maps, plus a simple color in the transmission pin. maybe an additional mix with (very) little amount of a similar set up glossy material.
for more control of the color a rgb node for the diffuse map power is also helpful. in such a setup the key parameters to edit would be rgb diffuse map power, diffuse map gamma and transmission color; bump usually set to a rather high value...
