As I discussed here realtime rendered walkthroughs to work with and to discuss with clients are the real sweetness for me. But in order to really take advantage of that we need a walkthrough mode with custom speed and looking around mode, not rotating around object (maybe we could pick a target to rotate around the focus point of the camera)

regarding your spacepilot pro,
i can't add support for something like that before i actually have one.
maybe in the near future we can buy one after we've sold some beta licenses...

When 3d connection support was added to Blender the company were helpful to the coder although that was more about SpaceNavigator IIRC.
There is a SDK available http://www.3dconnexion.com/service/soft ... loper.html
They might gift you a SN for dev purposes ;)
The SN is only 120 euro in Netherlands.

This would be very cool. I have the baby Spacenavigator and it's great in MOI3D. It would be so cool in Octane.

Yes I've also the small one and it works fine with Blender, indeed that would be great for Octane, later on maybe ...

I could use that, too. Though it doesn't support Blender 64bits in Win7, which has rendered the SpacePilot utterly useless to me, so for Octane this would surely rock.
