Hi everybody! :)
This one is my first post in this forum and first of all, nice to meet you.
I'm a C4D user and until now I always used vray as render engine.
Now I would like change and I'm discovering this beautiful render engine, but, obviously there many issues when you change a render engine that was your usual workflow.
I have two main questions to do.
- which are cinema's shaders that I can use with Octane Render? I tried to use filter, for instance, and I saw that it works, but if I try to do a layered material (with textures inside) it has been rendered black. In my workflow I often use filtered and layered materials, so I need to be sure that I can use them with Octane.
- Is there a sample scene with mesh to try materials, like that I see in videotutorials? It would be nice having that to try features of material's editor.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Hi.
I've just seen that sample scene example is in standalone, adding a material node. :)
Can you help me regarding layered materials inside C4D?
Thanks!

There is a user manual here,

But to make it short, you must use Octane mix material or convert the C4D ones if you want to render them in octane.
