Hi Paul,

I've just installed the 1.32.0.11 stable version, and Rhino SR8 40305. I am no longer able to see the texture maps in my Rhino viewport. Is this a bug, or am I the only one?

This appears to be a bug (in Rhino) which I have reported to McNeel, and am having a continued dialog with then to find a solution. If you Options->View->Display Modes->Rendered->Shadows->ON /or/ Options->View->Display Modes->Renderer->Use Advanced GPU Lighting ON you should get the texturemaps back.

Thanks Paul. I get black and white versions of the texture maps back, when turning on advanced GPU lighting, so that's better than nothing at all, but no color on the maps. Hopefully, McNeel will get the bug ironed out. As long as I can see them, it's a big help though.

McNeel have been able to isolate the issue and the plugin has been modified and is now displaying texturemaps correctly for me now. Can you pls confirm that this version fixes the problem for you?

YES!!! Problem fixed. I can see the texture maps perfectly now. Thank you Paul and McNeel!

There is one very minor issue when displaying opacity mapping. This is really not a big deal at all, but I noticed it so I thought that it would be worth mentioning. If invert is enabled in the material, the opaque areas in the Octane rendered viewport are displayed as transparent by the Rhino rendered viewport (not the Rhino render, JUST the Rhino rendered viewport mode). Please see below. Again, no big deal, and this only happens with invert is enabled, so I have a feeling that Rhino is just unable to pick up the Octane specific material option. If this is something that either can't be fixed, or is time consuming, I wouldn't worry about it, it's very, very minor.

1.5 is running very smoothly, btw. Nice user response and experience. I don't know if you did anything to the code for the 1.5 release, but the user interaction seems more fluid to me.

A big thanks to Andy from McNeel for the fix.

I have looked into this, and it's not so simple to invert the image in Rhino, because a Rhino texture would need to be added to the material - so I'd defer on a fix for that one for the moment.

Thank you for looking into it, it's extremely minor - I wouldn't even put it on any to do list anywhere either.
