When in a Node Graph, I'd like to be able to right click on an object from within a node and pull it out into a higher level.

As is I have to create an input node, connect it where the node I want to extract is, then cut the original node, then go to the parent node, paste the original node, and then connect it up.

It'd be sweet if by a single right-click action I could click on an item (or many) and have them pushed up to the parent node, and connected.

it'd be like selectively ungrouping.

Expanding and colapsing nodes inside nodes could be a good thing and further simplify a tree.
A node with port that has a group inside could be reddish or with the color of the group itself.

Working with nodes more and more, and loving them! However, as I use them more and more, I'm finding a few things about the workflow tedious.

Internal nodes (nodes that are part of a material or whatever that don't show as a node in the node graph, but rather as a solid dot on the node:
I would like to be able to show those in the graph editor without having to copy, paste, and re-connect.

And the converse. I would like to be able to flatten a node network into a single node. IOW - say I have a clean material that i want to collapse down to only required (shared) nodes, and have the rest collapse into the highest parent node. Basically for all nodes that aren't shared, I should very much like to be able to collapse, or flatten/consume, them into their parent node.
