really really good merid!
I like this shot, even for composition and for the light.
You should try to use hight poly objects: the couches (that are so visible) are too "hard" (the texture used is not good for tiling...even for the carpet, maybe an hairy carpet would be the best.

auuuch, only the carpet with hair weight 4 197 001 polys is a lot in the scene, my scene only without hair 72 500 polys

As for the rug,
Obviously the 'hairier' it is, the more polys. I think this is a matter of style/taste.
You can easily use these types of rugs as simple textures with heavy bump and correct falloff:
