Here is a script that can be used to create a walkthrough of an Octane Scene. Conceptually a series of camera moves can be record in a sequence of files. Multiple sequences need to be combined in another application such as Windows Movie Maker. Each camera move can be a combination of an orbit, pan, zoom, tilt, rotate, roll, sun path or depth clip operation, optionally each move can have a quadratic easing function applied to it. Camera moves can be previewed before saving as an automatically named file sequence based on a seed name.
The script combines multiple works by Thomas, Roeland & Jason, without them this could not have been done in any reasonable amount of time, so many thanks to them. It will run against OctaneRender release candidate 1.33.
In my mind the script is now functionally complete but please report bugs, I will keep it running against newer release candidate.
To use; extract to a folder and then point Octane File>preferences>application>script directory at that location.
REVISED TO RUN WITH OCTANE RENDER V1.50

Excellent!
I haven't played around with all of the scripts features yet, but it looks good.

Thank You, Mark, for this wonderful piece!!!
Few days ago I was dreamin' 'bout something simmilar,
however I have no skills to code =)so..
This will be very useful!
Again, thanks!

Thanks very much for your work!
and for sharing it
First impressions - very good.
I was wondering though if daylight is actually necessary.
Presently the script gives an error without it.
Possibly people want to make night or indoors sequences too...
With a tool like this we wont just be thinking of outdoors orbits.
Maybe a checkbox to enable solar settings with warning tooltip?
There is a little intuitive issue I think with the directions and the settings
Orbit should be Down/Up so - and + are consistent across all sliders IMO.
I think of down as negative
also same for Back/Forward, Pan Down/Up and Rotate Down/Up
Anyway well done! will try it out right away

Pixelrush,
Your points are well taken and I will look into implementing.
I was thinking the same thing re positive and negative values on the sliders and was hoping that otoy could perhaps improve the slider control so that to the user at least it could be presented as positive in both directions around zero, as the current word order is more natural than the reverse.
Regarding daylighting, if that restriction is removed, does it mean we need to be able to rotate an HDR background image, and also is there anyway in the new releases to combine both HDR and daylighting simultaneously.

Paul,
All is well thank you , I was wondering while doing this if you felt like adding an ability to your plugin to save out camera and target positions to a text file while rendering a walk through that could then be aggregated in this thing.
It would provide a capability to create much longer and more elaborate walkthroughs than are possible with the native revit tool.

Possibly....although the next step on the Revit plugin is to grab the camera position with each animation frame to feed the camera path in Octane so that camera motion blur is possible. I have MB running on the Poser and Modo plugins, but not the others - because you can't get the camera position until that frame starts rendering.I was wondering while doing this if you felt like adding an ability to your plugin to save out camera and target positions to a text file while rendering a walk through that could then be aggregated in this thing.

thank you
-- Edit --
The only feature request that I have yet to see in any of the scripts is the ability to use a panoramic camera.
Having a camera with 180 degree FOV is quite nice for walk through animations.
Thanks
