Hi there,
is there a way to get nice Clouds in Octane like Indigo?

I only know the method with proz3Durale....but its to heavy for every cloud 1 million Polygons.
volume rendering

ok, problem is specular + medium doesn't support texture nodes for this kind of effect. We should wish this from Octane team.

if i remember well, some versions ago, i don't remember exactly the number, a lot of customers were complaining about the impossibility for the sun light to go trough specular materials. the sentences were something like "a render engine with the sun blocked by a glass is not a professional render engine" and so on..
so otoy team has completely revisited the specular material and the sss node introducing the fake-shadow option, now octane has no more issue with sun and glass but unfortunately we have lost the procedurals in the sss channel.
who knows, maybe in the future they find a way for bringing back the procedurals to sss
ciao beppe
