Hi everybody,

can someone explain to me how to export materials from Mudbox because Octane doesn't recognize the materials when I import the obj.

I'm new to Mudbox so maybe there is something I do wrong because I just create materials and assign them and then I export with an obj file.
Is it how I am supposed to do ?

Thanks

I'm not a mudbox user either but in maya there is a setting in the OBJ export settings to include or not include the materials with the object. Find that setting and check "include materials" or whatever the equivalent is. That should do the trick.

Thank you for your answer but I finally found out how to do it. Actually there's no option to specify the materials or not but it's because I didn't use UVs on my mesh. Now it works perfectly fine.
