Trying out compositing and glass. Geometry is just the ship and the bottle. Rest is a photograph.

Background - inhdwallpaers.com, Richard Morris
Ship - Omar Chaudry

Bottle, compositing etc, me :)

Was a real challenge trying to get the dusty look on the bottle. Would really like it if there was a 'brightness/contrast' node, rather than that Colour Correction node, which I feel like I understand, then realise I haven't :)

nice!
which render kernel did you use?
when seeing glas-renders I always ask myself: can this be done with direct lighting?
your glas-mat is a mix or from the library?

NVN - thanks

Mbetke: only the bottle and the boat is 3d, books and candles etc is photos.

Cleanerxx: It's path tracing, and it's done in Igntwave which doesn't have access to the library. It's a spec materiel mixed with a diffuse material controlled by an alpha.

3rdeye: cheers.

not to the topic
Arion has automatic 3d motion blur object based. When will Octane besides camera based. I just like octane a lot better for its simplicity and speed

Wa about to give A+ for the whole thing for being a photo and then caught the fact that it was bottle and ship only. Still A job on the composite work.
Just great.
