yes as far as i know it works but only for exports for daz?

As alembic should be platform independent then in theory the exported scene should be usable in any other alembic aware application without limitation.

But that of course is just a theory...

In theory does this mean that when both DAZ Alembic exporter and OctaneRender are fully compatible we will be able to export animations from DS and then render them in the background using OctaneRender standalone while we continue to use DS to create other scenes or animations? Presumably this will be dependent on GPU resources unless there is a way to designate those in a future update of OR.
