Hi all,

Here comes version 0.10. The changes are:
  • Added support for area light export. Unfortunately, emissive materials can't be exported via OBJ/MTL. This means, you have to enable emission on the light materials. Each light gets its own diffuse material that has the light colour as diffuse colour. The area light geometry is created by the plugin. Please let me know, if you think that the geometry is too detailed or too crude.
  • Added support for C4D R12
  • Added support for document scale in the R12 version.
  • Added camera-only animation export.
  • Added option to use the focal depth of the camera object, which has the same effect as setting the focal depth to 0.
  • Fixed incorrect normal transformation of objects with skewed axis'.
These are the PC builds of the plugin:

CINEMA 4D R9.6 (32/64bit):

Hi Marcus,
first of all, thanx for the great work ;)
I've installed the new version for r11.5 but I have some problems with the workflow :(
I try to explain me with my terrible english, hope you can understand me
I export to Octane, make some materials and adjusting, save the scene, if I try to re-export from cinema all the modifications are gone :(
The only way for me is to save from octane changing the name of the ocs file. But when I come back to cinema and give it the new file name for connection and export again, I received an error message that the mash node is unusable, I click "ok" click on the mash node and octane start to render with no problem :?
With this error message it's impossible to lunch an animation render :(

I investigate a bit more on my exporting problems and I find that the problem is only with octane 1.23.4, with the old 1.22b no problem at all.
It seams a problem with .mtl that override the material settings of the ocs file.
The only solution for me is to export obj/mtl only and then re assign it in octane, but it work only for stills I can't find a solution for animations.
How can I make an animation with emitters if is not possible to change materials?
Added camera-only animation export.
how does this funtion work?
I've try it but it make voxelization every frame just as before

In short: It doesn't work in versions 1.23.3 and 1.23.4 because relinking of materials in Octane is broken in those versions. Unfortunately I don't know of a work around. I hope this will be solved with the upcoming version 1.23.5. Maybe Radiance, Nostromo or Brecht have more information.

Cheers,
Marcus
