Hi Paul,
Just finished a project for a client again using the plugin and the workflow has become THE Standard! What a joy it is over and over again.
When changing the location or name of an OBJ used as proxy,
then when opening the plugin the error message "Cannot find geometry prox...y" appears.
The great thing is that when opening the Archicad Object to re-assign the OBJ,
the old path is still visible.. this way it is very easy to re-assign the OBj again by knowing the old name/path and it is also very great that the apllied materials are unchanged!
Gre4at job having setup like this.
When having just a few OBJ's it is just a quick thing to do.
When having a lot of materials/textures/OBJ and maybe other items assigned in a project
and when in example one might change the main foldername of a libray with all stuff in it,
it might be a hazzle to reassign all textures , OBJ, and more.
I have not experienced that, but it just was a thought that came up when having moved just 2 OBJ's to another folder.
greetings,
Cannot find geometry proxy

Hi Jeroen
The is a universal challenge cross most of the plugins. Because absolute paths are stored in the Octane nodes, if you move the source material they cannot be found when opening the Viewport. One of my jobs in the next month or two is to resolve this (for all my plugins). One solution is to have a Setup menu option "Relink all missing files" (or similar), which looks for all missing texturemaps and proxy obj files, searching in a set of predefined folders (maybe contained in an XML file somewhere?), and if the files are found, re-establishes the correct link.
