Hi Paul,

Is there any way to associate the Rhino texture mapping widget with a live geometry update? I checked the live geometry update for my objects, but evidently this is not associated with the material texture mapping per that geometry.

With the new SR7 update, per my earlier post, I now cannot view the octane material texture mapping(a more advanced material w/ multiply: dirt & a jpeg) within the Rhino shaded viewport. In order to revise texture mapping (without guessing), I have to duplicate the Octane material as a basic material, switch my objects to the basic material, then remap/revise/review (woodgrain textures) within the Rhino shaded viewport, then switch back to the octane material with the newly revised mapping. Obviously this slows me down somewhat.

Not being critical whatsoever...love the plugin...but I had a quicker workflow with the earlier releases when I could view the jpeg texture mapping in the Rhino shaded viewport w/o having to do the above contortions.

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

Yes, I found this an issue too, and reported it to McNeel. In summary, when you change the texturemapping of an object, the Rhino API is not issuing a "change" event to the plugin, so it doesn't know that the geometry needs to be refreshed. McNeel have indicated that a fix is scheduled for the final release of SR7 - so hopefully it will be available soon.

Thanks, Paul. I hope that they can get that implemented quickly. That will help to alleviate some of the texture mapping concerns (with jpegs' absence in the rhino shaded viewport).

Best,
Nathan
