Hi all,

I have the following problem- every time I try to unwrap an object by using Unwrap UVW modifier in 3DS Max the texture in the UV Editor is not visible. It is visible in Max's view-port but not in the UV Editor.
My steps are:
1. Create a simple box and apply glossy material with image texture instead of color to it
2. I make sure the material is shown in the view-port and apply Unwrap UVW modifier to the box
3. I open the UV Editor to flatten and position the faces according to the texture
4. But there is no texture in the UV editor. I know the right texture is loaded in the UV Editor because the right map has been selected in the top right corner. I even tried selecting it manually by "pick texture" but once I select "image texture" no dialog box appears to allow me to choose the image.

Any idea as to why that is happening?
Thank you very much.

I feel you man.

I can't ever get any complex unwrapping done in Octane because of this.

I haven't found a work around. I don't know if someone has but that would be really cool.

All I do with my textures in octane with the unwrap modifier is the normal mapping in the UV editor and a few other basic things.

Then I just scale and move the faces, points or edges and see what's happening in the viewport. This technique is tedious though and takes more time also making some tasks impossible.

Well that's a bummer.
At least it's not me doing something wrong there :)

Thanks for the reply, man.

No problem man. I hope one day that they'll add this feature.
