I modeled it a while ago and finally have some free time to make a short animation!

DL mode 3 (AO) 3:15 per frame on a GTX 680 4GB Reaching 500 samples 2150x1080

That looks simply fantastic. Totally realistic. Slight niggle though, nothing to do with the Octane part of it. Are the rims really that much higher than the skins?

Ha! there are more than a few problems with the model ;) don't look too closely. Now that I think about it the skins should be closer to the rim. I just forgot to tune my drums :)

No worries, as I said, it was a niggle. I'm certain most people would look at it and think it was video footage of a real kit.
