yeah, i noticed the ambient occlusion look.
have you tried switching the kernel to path tracing to get a better result ?

directlighting is only usefull for navigation/scene editing,
it does'nt really give good quality for final renderings...

directlighing is good if you want to do previz work (more advanced things than Opengl like true reflections)
It could be good also for non-realistic rendering, or for doing faster clay renders ;)

Render it with pathtracing so we can see the difference between the two pictures :D
