Weird problem when Rendering

So the original model of this house was made in google sketch up but I imported it into 3ds max 2014.
As you can see the rendering is rather messed up.

The model acts really weirdly in the 3ds max viewport a lot of the time.
The model is really hard to edit when I try to edit it using poly modeling techniques.
Then it renders these weird circle triangle shaded forms on the walls.
The texture of the exterior walls is just simple glossy material nothing complicated so it has nothing to do with mapping.

I'm not sure really what to do with this and whether it's a problem with the file or with Octane but this has happened before.
Last time I just decided to start over but right now I'm on a tight schedule so... I was wondering if there was a semi-quick fix.

Any kind of help is appreciated thanks!

Double check scale, and also if the geometry is double sided (in sketchup). Make sure double sided is off.
