In the last 2.3 (testing version) i have a strange crash.
If i load scenes *.ocs every thing work fine.
If i try to import a OBJ the program freeze and immediately crash. How i can show to you this bug? There is log or something to send you to discover the reason of this? Thank you very much!

Post your .obj file here (if it's not too big).

You should also write your system software & hardware specs in your signature, so its easier to pinpoint problems.

The crsah din't happen during the OBj import, the program crash before to open any window that allow me to pick any file. It crash when i do "import mesh" and i crahs exactly inside the OBJ mesh import preferences windows.
So is not a question of the kind of obj, because i'm not able to load any file.

The workflow is this: Load octane 2.3 beta, i do "import wavefront obj" , the shell appear, i press OK, the program freeze and after crash.

Here my specs:

Processor: Interl i7 cpu 2.93
8.00 giga of ram.
64 bit windows 7
Ge force GTX460

But i suppose that without some kind of log is hard understand why ths crash hannpe.

Thank you!

Could it be either your file or the path to it has foreign characters like ë,à or things like that ? Octane didn't learn to speak them yet, unfortunately.

Try using just simple ascii names, both for obj/mtl and texture names.

yes but it crashes when it's chosen - after you press OK before choosing File
I not chosen anything yet so there should be trouble with the file name, folder, etc..

please attach and example (zipped),
and make sure you don't have non ascii characters in the path/directories where the file is...
