Hi Paul
When we are putting say mesh emitters with IES in our scene, does revit take care of normals ?
Normals

My memory is not that good with this, but I think IES emitters always point down. So regardless of the emitter direction, the light will point down, and you adjust the "orientation" pin to direct the light.JNDesign wrote:Hi Paul

Correction - the IES light at 0, 0, 0 orientation will either be directly UP or DOWN (depending on the general direction of the normal).
