Here a quick re-modelling of the beautiful Eclisse table lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, I did not know they have a database of 3D models but they are not detailed enough...
The render took 1.37h using only 2500 samples with original size 2464x1648 , it had few fireflies and noise still to clear and some artifact around the emitter (?) but I'm quite happy about it, unfortunately the little bump mapping on the lamp material is not visible enough as I had to rise the size and/or power of it but I'm trying to check how slow Octane is about with 2 emitters (blackbody).

Hotpixelled,denoised and resized ; )

Hope you like it ;)

nice to see emitter renders ;)

how many polygons does one of the lamps have ?
eg, the front lamp ?

also, these lights are hard to find with our current algorithms, rendertimes will severely improve with the new MLT replacement that's coming soon.

btw, can i stick this as is in our gallery ?
it would be good to get some emission lit renders in there for people to see.

Sure you can, I will be honoured about it :D

Whole scene is 187.804 Triangles , Single lamp is 93.936 Triangles, is it fine for you with that little credit on the bottom left or do you need a clear one?

Thanks! :D :D :D

so much emission triangles definately explains the longer render times.
we need to optimize more...

The image is fine as it is, i've scheduled it for my next gallery update ;)

one last question, is this path tracing ? there does'nt seem to be much illumination if any visible at all on the floor...
just wondering ;)

Yes, it's Path tracing...

..well actually the light Bulb itself is only 16.368 triangles  I thought that you referred to the Lamp as a single model...stilll

I did not take that into account.. :? , maybe I should give it a try with a bulb with less triangles and check again... :D

Update:
Now lowering the scene triangles to 52.792 :geek:
This is what I get in almost 10 min cooking, still loads of noise on the bulb neck to sort out but cleaning this out with a denoise plug and some of the Fireflies left I got just the same render

I must remember to adjust the number of exporting triangles/polygons from rhino, especially 4 the emitters, but at the moment there is no chance to import an extra model into the scene with lower triangles....
