Ok, I'm brand new here. I purchased Octane Standalone and the Blender plugin after seeing the gallery and videos. Incredible software.
I am having a little bit of a difficulty getting started. My problem is not specific, but instead it's difficult to get a feel for a standard setup with Octane. For now, I'm not looking to do anything complex, just render primitives and play around with the material nodes as well as the scene lighting.
Can someone recommend a good walkthrough or tutorial that can get me setup. The Blender plugin manual has some great screenshots of setups, but I don't have any demo blender scenes with an Octane setup.
If you use Blender, could you please tell me how you got started using Octane?

I think its better to start with the stand alone to understand the way materials, environment and camera settings work and then explore more the Plugin, because its still a beta version. And if you know the basics in the Standalone, you will have no problems in Blender.
best of luck.
