Hello all,
fist i want to say thanks to all of you who share info in the forum. I usually don't do this kind of questions, but this time i think i need some help.

Can anyone tell me if a Nvidia GT520 (2gb) can handle the display and work around in Octane StandAlone and in Blender (using Octane2Blender Plugin.
I know it is a piece o junk(more or less), but I cant afford switching my Power supply to take on 2gtx 590 and for example a 560ti...im pointing to a fanless or mini fan with no power input from PS (only from th MB itself) the Gt520 looks great but I don't know if will handle the display of Blender when using for example, Particles ..... :o :o

Here a little more info about what im aiming for:
photos are not mine, im on vacation so my system is at home resting 8-)

My system is on my signature, most important part, i have 2 gtx 590 and a 1000w (85plus)power supply. All good works great nothing to say about that....except for the heat...  ..lol

Well i'm using only one gtx590 for now because i need to reassemble all my system to get the hot air off...Lets try to put this in simple words.

I have a CoolerMaster Haf X case that is great, but um CPU cooler (NoctuaD-14, is so big it covers my 1st PCI-e slot (Asus P8P67 WS Revolution),

NOT MY SISTEM, but it shows the problem

so i have to put my first 590 in the 2nd slot,
the 4th slot would be the correct spot to place my 2nd 590, but i cannot have such a big graphic card because of usb internal ports, and all the other connectors(they are too high so we cant even place the graphic card...because it doesn't fit  ) see image ...

So...im stuck with 2nd and 3rd slots to place my 2gtx 590....hehe...it is an "inferno" ,

the bottom 590 can keep cool at 85 when rendering, but the top one(dont have enough space to pull the air in) goes to 95...with fans at 100%....so its the noise and the heat.

I will reassemble all the computer...to be able to use 1st slot and 3rd slot to the 2 GTX590.
For that i will rotate 90 degrees my Noctua(if possible) so he will be blowing fresh air to the back of the top gtx 590.
then I will tune my air duct(that comes with the Haf X) to tunnel the hot air coming from the 590's to the front of the case (inverting the front fan direction, to pull the hot air out), and obviously taking the hard drives up so the way is clear.

So if all goes well I will have my 2nd and 4th pcie slots available. The 2nd has to be clear so the air goes in the 1st GTX590, in the 4th slot I want to put a graphic card to display. Whith no fan, low low power usage. ;)

Sorry for the long post and bad English, but if anyone knows about the gt520 display performance it would be great.

cheers to all

Hi, a friend use GT 610 for 3dsmax and Blender and it work good.
Blender don´t use performance features from modern video cards anyway, this change with 2.7.

Cheers, mib.
