Wish List.

Thought i would start a thread on wish lists or ideas for future releases of Octane.

Autodesk user Groups like Augi do this to try and get a wish list together for the next release of Autocad. The best suggestions voted for are then incorporated into the following years release.Thought it might be a good idea for Octane as well.

I'll start the ball rolling.

Plug ins please for the Various 3D cad packages available.Being able to export 3D models straight from Inventor or Autocad/Turbo Cad would greatly increase the customer base when V1.0 is finally ready.Imagine all of the Architects you could rope in.

Hi,

Developing a plugin for a host application requires:

- complete knowledge of the host applications usage. (eg you can't learn autocad in one day)
- a license (when we're talking about 10+ plugins soon, this is a costly affair)
- knowledge of the host applications development language or API.

Since we do not have these for applications like autocad/turbo cad/etc...,
we require individuals to develop them for us.

If you want a plugin for a specific application, you will have to make some posts in community forums for the application in question, requesting someone with the 3 points mentioned above to contact us, and we can then evaluate the possibility of producing the plugin in cooperation with the developer in question.

We have documentation, mockups and guidelines available that contain all information needed for them to develop the plugin.

Yours,
Radiance
