Just bought my license and I'm excited to see more of what this renderer can do. I wish you all the best of luck in your rendering.
Also I wanted to know what kind of background I can expect from this community of users. Hobby oriented, professional designers, animators, or anything in between. You don't have to disclose any more information than you want to. I'd just like to start a dialogue to let everyone know what kind of knowledge is present here.
I'll start first.
I'm a 3d hobby oriented guy with a BS in electrical engineering. I've been working with 3ds max for a while and have tried a little bit of 3d cad work as well for personal projects, though I am far from a professional in either. I had known of the Octane Renderer for quite a while and have tried the demo with outstandingly amazing results. With render times cut dramatically, the amount of down time between renders is almost eliminated. Now that I have a license I can begin to accelerate my hobby into a passion. Hopefully along the way we can help each other become the best artists we can be.
Oh and sorry for the formality, I just don't know any of you yet.
Just wanted to say hello.
Welcome as one user to another
From my experience I can say this community is very very friendly and very very helpful.
If you like to know more about users... You can click an user to see the information posted by the user about themselves,
And sometimes there are also links in the signature.
You also can add a signature with specs of your hard- and software.
That way it is also easier to comment on technical questions you might have.
Good renderings to you
