viewport canvas

how can I use viewport canvas with octane material ?
In viewport canvas we can not select image just "power"... Any idea ?

sorry, solved :
I need to add an image before use the tool, if not the texture image slot is empty, and we cannot add one with octane material with canvas.
ps : viewport canvas is max's painting tool. :-)
