Hi there ;-)

I proudly present my newest spare time project.
I did it mostly to get better with texturing and also to get to know the Octane C4D plugin.

Modeled and UV-Wrapped in Cinema 4D / Bodypaint.
Textures made with Photoshop.
Shaded lit and rendered with Octane (C4D-Plugin)
Contrast and color correction in AfterEffects.

I Hope you like it!

Cheers,
Silverwing

Some of the most photo realistic renderings I have seen on these forums!
Great job!

That being said, I would tone down some of the wear on the edges, it feels too strong with how everything else is so pristine. As in, the object looks fairly new, but then the edges are worn down a lot.

Good work Silverwing. I agree with kavorka about the worn edges but for a different reason: The scale of the weathering makes the gate look smaller. The shallow DOF only contributes to this effect.

Thanks for all your feedback!

@ kavorka:
Thanks for your honest opinion! I agree with you. There could have been scratches on the surface etc.

@mat985:
Thanks a lot!

@aoktar:
Oh great! I appreciate that you like it. Sure go ahead and upload it on Facebook!

Hm maybe Gate was the wrong term to use. It should be rather small. Maybe 1,5 meters in hight...
And yes as I also said on kavorka´s comment. There is definitely room for improvement!

So thanks to all of you for your comments!

Cheers,
Silverwing
